David Hedison is used to
having fans recognize him on the street. One winter day in 1994, David
had donned a hat, big collared coat and a muffler to ward off the bitter
cold, so all one could really see was his eyes. "Suddenly, there was a
honk of a horn and a woman pulls over and says, "Are you David Hedison?"
When I said yes, she replied, "Oh, you're much cuter in person!" Then she
drove off. It was the funniest thing. God, I love that story!" ---

Hedison says he's enjoying Spencer Harrison. "He's a very wealthy man who lives in Chicago who has made his money in real estate. He has two sons who he is always in conflict with. One is a policeman and the other is a senator, who I am pushing toward the presidency, like a Joe Kennedy."
"It's the first time I've ever done a soap, and it's a totally different experience for me. I was used to doing an hour (weekly) show in six or seven days or feature films. Now I do an hour show in a day. It was very frightening at the beginning, but now I'm getting used to it."
