Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea found a second life, in reruns on cable [the Sci Fi Channel] in the 1990's.  Hedison has an obvious fondness for the show, but  his enthusiasm faded after the first two seasons.

 

"In the last year, I sensed doom.  The writers were concentrating on monsters - The Fossil Man and God knows what else! With all those monsters, I began to lose interest, but we did some very good stories in the first two years."
