On October 28, 2016, David attended the Brittania Awards ceremony in Los Angeles with his daughter Alexandra, his daughter-in-law Jodie Foster,and Jodie Foster’s two sons, Charles and Kit.

Jodie was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille award For Excellence in Film.  In her speech, Jodie thanked “all her moms” and named David’s late wife, Bridget, as one of them.
 

The Award ceremony was shown on the cable channel POP on Nov. 2, 2012.

 

David told me had “a good table” and everyone at the table (during the telecast) seemed to have a very good time. This was David’s first filmed TV appearance in many years.
